- 150 Helmets Distributed in Mancherial
Road Safety Awareness: As part of the National Road Safety Month celebrations, the Mancherial Traffic Police, led by Ramagundam Police Commissioner M. Srinivas, conducted a special awareness program in the town. During the event, 150 helmets were distributed to women, senior citizens, and municipal staff to promote road safety.
Commissioner Srinivas stressed the importance of wearing helmets, highlighting that most accidents result from failure to follow safety measures. He urged both riders and pillion passengers to wear helmets and adhere to traffic rules. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of controlling speed and using helmets and seat belts, warning that violators would face fines.
The helmets were sponsored by the Telangana Recognized School Managements Association (TRASMA). District President MD Aziz, Town President Kommu Durga Prasad, and other TRASMA representatives actively participated in the program.
Commissioner Srinivas noted that special road safety awareness initiatives are being conducted in schools, colleges, and among vehicle users to cultivate responsible driving habits.

Key officials present at the event included DCP A. Bhaskar, ACP R. Prakash, Traffic ACP Jaddi Narasimhulu, Traffic Inspector Satyanarayana, Town Inspector Pramod Rao, Rural Circle Inspector Ashok Kumar, and others. The Police Commissioner honored TRASMA representatives with shawls for their valuable support.
“Helmets are not a burden but a protection for life. Adhering to traffic rules ensures the safety and happiness of your family,” said Commissioner Srinivas.
