At the same time, thieves also show off their skills. However, with the increasing technology, CCTVs are being installed everywhere. Since temples are under threat from anti-social forces, metal detectors are being installed. Currently, priority is being given to installing metal detectors even in small temples.
But such things are not seen in the Basara Saraswati Temple, where thousands of devotees come every day. With this, the safety of devotees in this temple has become like a lamp in the wind. In the past, a person jumped the wall and entered the temple from in front of the home guard while he was on duty. Devotees are questioning what will happen if anti-social forces enter the temple due to lack of proper security.
Thousands of devotees visit the famous holy place of Basara Sri Gyan Saraswati Ammavari Temple in Nirmal district every day. The crowd increases during special days and festivals. However, the authorities are not taking any security measures here. The lack of even metal detectors to check luggage is a sign of the negligence of the authorities.
The Basara temple is being monitored by a temporary employee only. That too is minimal. Although crores of rupees are being collected by the temple every year from the offerings of devotees, the authorities and the rulers are not paying attention to their security.
Action should be taken
Although the income of the temple is in crores of rupees, the authorities are not taking any steps for the security of the Ammavari.
Keeping in mind the huge number of devotees who come to the temple, the authorities should respond and take security measures.
