Korukanti : Congress Conspiring Through Caste Census

  • Injustice to BCs Will Lead to Protests
  • RS Peddapalli District President and Former Ramagundam MLA Korukanti Chander Slams Congress

Korukanti: BRS Peddapalli district president and former Ramagundam MLA Korukanti Chander has accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of conspiring to suppress Backward Classes (BCs) in Telangana. He criticized the Congress-led caste census, calling it a deliberate attempt to sideline BCs and manipulate population data in favor of upper castes.

Caste Census: A Betrayal of BCs?

Chander alleged that the Congress government artificially reduced the BC population while inflating OC numbers to serve its political agenda. He pointed out major discrepancies in the census when compared to the earlier Comprehensive Household Survey conducted during the Telangana movement.

Unfulfilled Promises – Congress Deceived BCs

He recalled that the Congress had promised 42% reservations for BCs during elections but failed to implement them after coming to power. He vowed that the BRS party will continue to fight until justice is served to BCs.

BC Round Table Meeting on February 14

To expose the alleged irregularities in the caste census, a BC round table meeting will be held on February 14 at the Godavarikhani Press Club under the leadership of various BC associations. Chander urged all BC leaders and representatives from sub-castes to attend the meeting and fight for their rights.

“Over 22 lakh BCs have been left out of the caste census. The Congress government is deceiving BCs under the pretext of a survey. Revanth Reddy must apologize to the community,” he demanded.

BRS Stands for BCs – Promises Continued Struggle

Chander asserted that the BRS is the only party that has truly supported BCs, recalling that in the last Assembly and Parliament elections, BRS allocated 50% of its seats to BC candidates. He accused Congress of betraying BCs and warned that mass protests would be launched soon against this injustice.

The press conference was attended by BC leaders Gopu Ilaiah Yadav, Boddu Ravinder, Boddupalli Srinivas, Nooti Tirupati, Achha Venu, Kalvacharla Krishnaveni, Sattu Srinivas, Allam Ayulayya, Sandhya Reddy, Kodi Ramakrishna, Venkanna Kiranji, Saarayya Naik, Venkatesh, Srinivas, and others.
