Ramagundam CP: Ramagundam Police Commissioner M. Srinivas IPS (IG) has directed strict action against eve teasing and harassment cases under the She Teams initiative, which operates round the clock for women’s safety. As part of this effort, a counseling session was held on February 12, 2025, at the Ramagundam Police Commissionerate Conference Hall, conducted via Zoom by experts from the Hyderabad Women Safety Wing.
A total of 29 individuals caught harassing women between September and December 2024 were counseled during the session.
Focus on Awareness and Behavioral Change
The session aimed to educate the offenders on:
- Respecting women and behaving responsibly in society.
- Legal consequences, including severe punishments for harassment.
- The importance of being a law-abiding and responsible citizen.
- The zero-tolerance approach of the police towards any form of harassment.
Police Warn of Strict Action
Officials reiterated that any form of harassment will not be tolerated and that She Teams are actively monitoring public spaces 24/7. Immediate action will be taken against offenders to ensure women’s safety.
The session was attended by Additional DCP (Admin) C. Raju, Peddapalli She Team SI M. Lavanya, and She Teams personnel from Mancherial and Peddapalli districts.
